BARMM celebrates 2022 Bangsamoro Labor Day
 
The Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) of BARMM, under the leadership of Minister Muslimin Sema, spearheaded the celebration of the 2022 Bangsamoro Labor Day on May 1, 2022 in Cotabato City/Maguindanao, Special Geographic Area (SGA), Lanao del Sur, and the island provinces of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. The theme for this event was “Disenteng Trabaho at Kabuhayan, Alay sa Bangsamoro.” Various activities were held, such as Job Fair led by the Bureau of Employment, Promotion and Welfare (BEPW) and MOLE Field Offices, Free COVID-19 Vaccination Drive in partnership with IPHO-Maguindanao, Free Legal Counseling led by the PAO Maguindanao and Legal Divisions of MOLE-BARMM and MTIT-BARMM, and Wage Clinic or consultation led by the Bangsamoro Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (BTWPB). These activities were done in collaboration with different agencies, organizations and private establishments in the region.
In his keynote address during the opening program in Cotabato City, Department of Migrant Workers Secretary, Atty. Abdullah Mama-o, called on leaders and investors to explore and discover the different resources of the Bangsamoro region, including the labor skills and potentials of the Bangsamoro labor force.
