The objective of the orientation is to prepare our OBWs and those who intend to work abroad on possible realities/challenges that they may encounter while working abroad especially designed for Overseas Household Service Workers (OHSW) and semi-skilled workers originating from BARMM. This also includes how they become fully aware of what life would be like away from home, the rules and regulations they need to abide by, the customs and traditions they need to respect, and other related concerns.
Some of the participants shared their experiences in working abroad. During the open forum, some issues and concerns were discussed and were given some possible solutions. Also, the participants thanked the ministry for extending to them the said program which will serve as their weapon to combat the challenges of working abroad. It was co-facilitated by the MOLE-Lanao del Sur Field Office OIC-Head Ms. Norolain Dimaluna and her staff. There were 150 participants who took part in the said orientation seminar.
