The Bangsamoro Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (BTWPB) held its 7th Board Meeting on September 22, 2022 at the MOLE Conference Room, AL Nor Extension Bldg., Cotabato City.
Present in the said meeting were Board Chairperson Hon. Muslimin G. Sema, Vice-Chairperson Hon. Abuamri Taddik, Vice-Chairperson Hon. Mohajirin T. Ali represented, BPDA, Hon. Atty. Anwar Malang and Hon. Datu Haron Bandila – Management Representatives and Hon. Jonathan Acosta and Hon. Norlyn Odin both Worker’s Representatives.
This meeting aims to set the Guidelines for Kasambahay Minimum Wage Fixing. This was organized by the BTWPB Secretariat headed by the Board Secretary VI Bailyn Nanding. Also discussed during the meeting was the preparation for the Bangsamoro Productivity Olympics which is planned to be held in October 2022 wherein MSMEs from different provinces in BARMM are qualified and nominated in the said competition.
This is a pilot series of activities concerning Kasambahay Minimum Wage Fixing since the establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao. The Board intends to do the benchmarking from neighboring regions that went through Wage Fixing for Kasambahay or stay-in domestic helpers.
