The Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE), with the support of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) through the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC), held the MOLE-BARMM Strategic Action Planning Workshop (Phase III) of the Bangsamoro Labor and Employment Development Plan 2023-2030 on August 1-4, 2022 at Greenleaf Hotel, General Santos City.

ILO Consultant Atty. Rebecca Chato and ILO Manila Programme Officer Ms. Diane Lynn Respall personally facilitated the workshop as main resource speakers. The BPDA, through its Chief of Social Planning Division Mr. Palawan Mamaon and Senior Economic Development Specialist Mr. Isah Abduljalil, also personally supervised during the workshop. NWPC Executive Director Maria Criselda Sy took part in the workshop virtually by talking about the productivity enhancement programs for MSMEs. Ms. Cerilyn Pastolero of ILO Manila and ILO Consultant Mr. Ever Abasolo took part virtually as well.

This activity was a continuation and the last part of the series of workshops that the MOLE underwent in Davao City and Cagayan de Oro City. The MOLE structure, programs and services were reclustered, adjusted and finalized for implementation for 2023-2030.

“In our common aim to alleviate the situations of the Bangsamoro labor force inside and outside our homeland, it is high time for us to finalize all our restructured, reclustered, realigned and refined outputs, especially for the MOLE Strategic Development Plan,” MOLE Deputy Minister Matarul Estino said in his speech.m
