Consistent with the aim of bringing the Bangsamoro government closer to the Bangsamoro communities, the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE), led by Minister Muslimin G. Sema, paid courtesy calls to Hon. Jimuel Que, Municipal Mayor of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi and Hon. Yshmael “Mang” Sali, Provincial Governor of Tawi-Tawi on July 4, 2022. The courtesy call for Hon. Wasilah Abdurahman, Municipal Mayor of Simunul, was done on July 5, 2022.

The said officials agreed that the government should continue developing the province of Tawi-Tawi, emphasizing the establishment of Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) as well as pursuing the industry of processing goods or products from the fishes and agar-agar or seaweed in the province, among other concerns.

These courtesy visits preceded the two-day Expanded Executive Committee Meeting of the MOLE in Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
