Former combatants of Moro Islamic Liberation Front and Moro National Liberation Front, former overseas Bangsamoro workers, community leaders and other stakeholders from the Special Geographic Areas participated in the consultation dialogue organized by the Ministry of Labor and Employment in partnership with the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue on Thursday, October 6 in Kabacan, North Cotabato.
The dialogue was conducted to inform the participants on the implementation of the Social Development Fund which provides livelihood assistance to organized groups of OBWs and rural workers from the conflict-affected communities in the region.
One of the expectations surfaced from the participants during the dialogue was the inclusion of the mujahideen to the programs of the Bangsamoro government.
Further, participants were able to identify the possible livelihood activities they would engage in. It was facilitated by Engr. Dong K. Anayatin, former director general of the ministry.
