COTABATO CITY – In celebration of the 4th Bangsamoro Foundation Day on January 21-27, 2023, the Ministry of Labor and Employment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao will showcase some of its flagship programs to the Bangsamoro constituents.

Among these programs are the Reintegration Program for Balik Bangsamoro Hanap Trabaho (RP-BBHT), Bangsamoro Rural Employment through Entrepreneurial Development (BREED), Assistance Program for Repatriated Abused Bangsamoro Workers, and the Bangsamoro Government Internship Program (BGIP).

According to Minister Muslimin G. Sema, the ministry will distribute livelihood assistance to 304 overseas Bangsamoro workers as beneficiaries of Reintegration Program from Maguindanao province and the Special Geographic Areas of North Cotabato. Each beneficiary will receive 20,000.00 pesos as start-up capital for their business undertaking.

There are 4 registered rural workers associations from Maguindanao and the SGA as BREED beneficiaries will also receive livelihood assistance amounting to 25,000.00 pesos each.

Moreover, the 65 OBWs from the Cotabato City, Maguindanao, and the SGA under the Repatriation Program will receive 10,000.00 pesos cash aid as immediate relief.

Also, there are 664 in total beneficiaries of BGIP from Cotabato City, SGA, Maguindanao, Lanao del Sur, Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-tawi will be paid to cover their 3-month stipends. The amount to be received by each beneficiary depends on the minimum wage set in their locality.

For Cotabato City and the SGA, each beneficiary will receive P16,087.50, while P14,850.00 for mainland and island provinces including Marawi City and Lamitan City respectively.

In this year’s theme, “Sama-samang Pagtataguyod sa Isang Mas Mapayapa at Mas Masaganang Bangsamoro,” Minister Sema is hoping that the Bangsamoro constituents will participate and enjoy during the week-long anniversary celebration.

Minister Sema also said the ministry will hold Job Fair activity to assist jobseekers who are hopeful to get hired on the spot. The job fair to be held on Jan. 21, 2023 at the Lobby Area, Annex Bldg., Mall of Alnor, Cotabato City will offer 140 job vacancies.

Registration of BARMM kasambahay, registration of Bangsamoro workers association, distribution of IEC materials, Pre-Employment Seminar, and registration of establishments are among the services to be offered by the ministry during the celebration. (MOLE-ICD)
