Under the Reintegration Program for Balik Bangsamoro Hanap Trabaho, 40 OBWs received livelihood assistance amounting to P20,000.00 as startup capital to begin a business.
The reintegration program allows OBWs who opted not to return from working abroad, to become productive after returning to their communities by providing technical assistance such as skills training and orientation on financial literacy.
On the other hand, 6 beneficiaries under the Assistance Program for Repatriated Abused OBWs received P10,000.00 cash aid as immediate relief.
In addition, there were 240 beneficiaries from Maguindanao, 111 from Taw-tawi and 61 from the Special Geographic Areas who benefited from the reintegration program during the week-long celebration of the BARMM’s 4th Founding Anniversary.
The Ministry also released cash aid under the repatriation program to 26 recipients from Cotabato City, 21 from SGA, 18 from Maguindanao, and 6 from Tawi-tawi.
Overall, more than P9.8 million worth of livelihood assistance and cash aid was disbursed for the 452 and 77 beneficiaries under the reintegration program and repatriation program respectively.
The payout was supervised by Director Datu Surab Abutazil, Jr. of the Administrative and Finance Services and Director Annuarudin Tayuan of the Overseas Workers Welfare Bureau. (MOLE-ICD)
